Safety, Compliance & Certification
How Evolve approaches compliance
Evolve maintains supporting documentation for applicable bike platforms, batteries and chargers. Whole-bike testing, battery testing, charger approvals and EMC reports cover different aspects of a product, so we only attribute a certificate or test report where the supplied model or component can be matched to the supporting documentation.
Evolve does not treat a component certificate as certification of an entire bike. Model-specific claims should reflect the exact scope of the supporting document and the configuration supplied.
Whole-bike / EPAC documentation
Evolve Metro / applicable RSE platform: Supporting TÜV Rheinland documentation identifies RSE E007, RSE Plus and RSE Pro E007 Pro and EN 15194:2017+A1 testing. Final attribution to an Evolve Metro configuration depends on confirming the applicable supplied RSE configuration.
Evolve StreetX / X80 PRO
NSW approved configuration
| NSW Certificate of Approval | NSW29940 |
| Approved type reference | X80 PRO |
| Approved article | Electrically power assisted bicycle (EPAC) |
| Rated voltage | 48V DC |
| Maximum continuous rated power | 250W |
| Maximum assisted speed | 25 km/h |
| Maximum total weight stated on certificate | 120 kg |
| Approval date | 29 June 2026 |
| Approval expiry | 29 June 2031, unless suspended, cancelled, renewed or extended |
EN 15194 supporting test documentation: UnionTrust Report No. 26051424519MEC-1, issued 11 June 2026, identifies model X80 PRO and testing to EN 15194:2017+A1:2023 within the scope stated in the report, including Clauses 4.2, 5 and 6. The report records the 250W continuous-rated / 25 km/h assistance configuration.
Approved battery and charger: NSW29940 applies to the approved X80 PRO configuration and specifies the battery and charger identified on the certificate. Evolve only applies this approval to a StreetX where the supplied configuration matches the approved type and specified components.
Scope note: NSW29940 is an electrical product safety approval within the scope stated on the certificate. It should not be read as a blanket assessment of mechanical characteristics, all road-use requirements or requirements that sit outside that certificate’s stated scope.
Evolve Urban / EB8 platform: TÜV Rheinland test documentation identifies EPAC Bicycle EB8 and records an overall PASS against its stated EN 15194:2017 test specification.
Additional EPAC / EMC documentation
TÜV Rheinland Certificate of Conformity AE 50703384 0001 covers electromagnetic compatibility for listed EPAC type designations including C80, V8, V8Max, V8Pro, V8Pro Max, V8Ultra, V8Ultra Max, V8Ultra mini, H9, C63, GT20, GT30, GT50, GT60, V2, V3, V9, V10, V11, X8, X9, X10, GT24 and GT16.
The certificate states that for EN 15194:2017+A1:2023 only Section 4.2.15 and Annex B were evaluated. These supplier type designations are not attributed to a specific Evolve model until the exact supplied model is confirmed.
Battery documentation
48V 18.2Ah battery: Supporting TÜV SÜD CB documentation identifies model 48V18.2AH, nominal 48V and rated 18.2Ah, with conformity stated to IEC 62133-2:2017 and IEC 62133-2:2017/AMD1:2021. This is battery-specific documentation and is only attributed to an Evolve model once that exact battery is confirmed as fitted.
48V 15Ah battery: Supporting documentation is held for a 48V 15Ah / 720Wh lithium-ion battery pack tested to UN Manual of Tests and Criteria Section 38.3. UN38.3 is battery transport and safety testing; it is not a whole-bike EN 15194 certificate.
Australian charger compliance
Supporting Australian RCM documentation is held for a family of Shenzhen Atnen lithium-ion battery chargers. The documentation states compliance with ACMA-mandated EMC requirements and electrical-safety standards AS/NZS 60335.2.29:2017+A1:2020 and AS/NZS 60335.1:2020+A1:2021.
The listed charger models are stated as registered Level 3 equipment on the EESS National Equipment Database from 10 October 2025 to 30 September 2030. An Evolve bike is only described as supplied with an RCM/EESS documented charger once its exact charger model is matched to the listed models.
Road-use configuration
Product compliance and lawful public-road use are separate considerations. Road-use requirements vary by state or territory, bike configuration and riding location. Customers should operate their bike only in a configuration lawful for the location in which it is being ridden.
For more information about road-use requirements, see E-bike Laws. For questions about documentation for a particular Evolve model, contact Evolve Bikes.
